Kuala Lumpur, February 23rd, 2022 – Giti Tire hosted a major passenger car dealers night in Malaysia to celebrate the launch of the company’s new products. The Departure - Giti Grand Gateway was the theme of the event, held at the Grand Hyatt hotel in Kuala Lumpur and gathering dealers from around the country. Aside from showing appreciation to dealers and launching new products, Giti also provided a virtual tour of its global facilities to the group.
Giti’s new showcased products include the GitiSport S2 and GitiSynergy H2. The recently debuted premium GitiSport S2 UHP tire comprises overall performance and innovative design, targeting higher levels of precise control. The pattern design and latest compound technologies deliver a 5% improvement in wet and dry braking and handling, as well as a 14% increase in aquaplaning resistance compared with the previous model. The tyre also delivers around 10% more mileage in normal driving conditions.
Designed using AdvanZtech - Giti Tire’s globally-integrated, company-wide R&D system - the GitiSport S2 features a brand new compound that offers extremely high levels of grip, which has resulted in an impressive A rating for wet performance in EU label results. Its strong rolling resistance is measured from B-E, and it is aimed at compact and intermediate size cars and SUVs with a sport orientation – such as the Mercedes C Class, Cupra Leon, Audi TT, and Audi Q5. It launches initially in 14 sizes with rims from 16-20”, section widths from 205-275, series sizes from 35-45, and with speed indices across W-Y.
Meanwhile, the new GitiSynergy H2 high-performance tire has also reached the aftermarket, with its OE-installed version having already secured a number of fitments within the VW Group. The tire will initially be available in 17 sizes with rims from 15-18”, section widths from 185-235, series sizes from 50-65, and with speed indices across T, H, V, W, and Y.
Aimed primarily at compact and family cars, crossover vehicles, and small SUVs, a further 25 additional sizes will be introduced throughout the year. The GitiSynergy H2 has also recorded A in wet grip across the range and A-C in rolling resistance in EU Label results .The core characteristics of the GitiSynergy H2 are safety without worry, energy efficiency, and precise control.
The GitiSynergyH2 was originally unveiled in December 2020 as an OE fitment and has since been selected in sizes 205/60R16 XL 96H and 215/55R17 XL 98H for the VW Caddy 5, and in 225/55R17 97V for the Seat Ateca and Skoda Karoq.
